We're Looking for a Few Good Articles . . .
We plan to post short articles (and links to other articles on the Web) on this page--articles and teachings about God's Word that we hope will bless and enlighten you. (See below for the first of these links--one General and two Prophecy articles.) We hope to start posting a few articles of our own to this site before too much longer.

In the meantime, we plan to add links here to other articles elsewhere on the Web. (Again, see below.) So if you're aware of a great article somewhere out there in cyberspace--or have a Web site of your own with articles that you think would bless God's people, please send us an e-mail letting us know about it. Include the complete URL and a brief description of the topic of the article. We'll take a look and, if we think it would bless our visitors, we'll add a link here.

In the meantime, we recommend that you visit our Forums, as you can find several short articles in the various forums that visitors to our message board have posted. So if you want to read something now, just get on over to those forums. God bless you!

P.S. Remember that, after you follow one of the links below, you need to use the Back button of your browser to return to this page.

  General Articles:
Here's a link to an article we found on the Web that blessed us. It's called Love, Don't Judge, by Michael Grasso. Give it a read and see what you think. (Feel free to provide feedback in our Forums.)

Those who still think that what Bible translation you use doesn't really matter--because, after all, they all come from the same original texts, right?--may find the article "Preservation and the King James Version," from the Last Trumpet Web site rather revealing. Feel free, after reading it, to trade your NIVs in for copies of the venerable (and most accurate in its underlying texts) KJV.

And here are a couple articles for those who wonder sometimes why a lot of what churches teach can't be found in the Bible: "Gnosticism and Traditional Orthodoxy" and "Recovering the Vocabulary of the New Testament" both from the Restoration Fellowship Web site. And for another really controversial article from that site (at least for most Christians), try "Do Souls Go to Heaven?" -- and feel free to weigh in with your thoughts in our forums.

Sometimes, walking on what the Word says rather than what our flesh tells us can be heart-wrenching.
  Prophecy Articles:
If the only prophetic interpretation you've ever been exposed to is the futurist one, you may be surprised to learn that others exist, some just as valid--if not more so--than much of the futurist interpretation. (That's especially true if all you've ever heard is the Dispensationalist, pre-trib line with its unscriptural version of the 70th Week of Daniel as a future "7-year tribulation" period and other fantasies.) For an overview of other prophetic interpretation systems, check out the article "Apocalyptic Interpretations" at this link.

And for a more scriptural interpretation of Daniel's 70th Week, we recommend the article "The Seventy Weeks of Daniel," by Bob L'Algoe. When you finally see through correct exegesis how Dispensationalists (and, sadly, even many other well-meaning non-Dispensationalist premillennialists) have mangled scripture to blasphemously attribute the works of the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, to their patchwork Antichrist, you'll never look at Daniel the same again. It's eye-opening--and liberating (as the truth of scripture should be).

And just to set things straight regarding the unscriptural Pretribulation Rapture theory, if you're still being mislead on the subject by CES or anyone else, give a prayerful read to "The Pretribulation Rapture--Truth or Trap?" and "The Rapture--When?" from the Restoration Fellowship Web site. And remember, we don't ask you to merely accept what's presented in these articles as fact but to search the scriptures, as did the Bereans, to see whether these things are true. (And if you do so openly and honestly, asking God to show you the truth, you'll discover that the Bible does not--and never has--taught a pretribulation rapture.)

You're always welcome in God's household--and here at Ex-CES Central, too.
  Doctrinal Articles:
The subject of Calvinism vs. Arminianism can be confusing to some Christians. The article Calvinism Critiqued, by Steve Jones, tells why this former Calvinist no longer believes that Calvinism is scriptural. For both sides of the issue, check out Calvinism: A Debate.

If you're still among those stuck in the dispensationalist camp (and if so, why!?), especially if you subscribe to the modern version of Hyper-Dispensationalism taught by CES, you need to read about "The Dangers of Excessive Dispensationalism" from the Last Trumpet Web site.

For those still searching for the truth about the Trinity, we present the following two articles by Mark Mattison for your prayerful consideration: Jesus and the Trinity and Jesus and the Trinity (2). (Note: These two articles are from a Biblical Unitarian perspective, which even Trinitarians need to know about so that they can better understand their own beliefs on this complex theological subject. The second article, especially, should prove of interest no matter what side of the issue you're on.)

For those looking for more information about the Trinity, including from a Hebraic viewpoint, try the following articles from the Restoration Fellowship Web site: "Does Everyone Believe in the Trinity?"; "A Christological Confession"; "Who Is Jesus?"; "John 1:1ff"; "The Nature of Pre-existence in the New Testament"; and "Sit Thou At My Right Hand (Psalm 110:1)" (the last by Allan Maxwell). Trinitarians may find much to object to in these articles, but if they want to effectively defend their beliefs, they must be aware of the scriptural arguments against the doctine that they may encounter among Biblical Unitarians (as opposed to those with very skewed and easily refuted views, such as the Jehovah's Witnesses).

Why not write us an article, too?
